The local societies are divided by county in the following manner:
Midlands Society: Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Clarendon, Edgefield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland and Saluda counties.
Piedmont Society: Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union counties.
Catawba Society: Cherokee, Chester, Lancaster and York counties.
Coastal Society: Allendale, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties.
Pee Dee Society: Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter and Williamsburg counties.
Waccamaw Society: Georgetown and Horry counties.
Low Country Society: Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties.
